From 2026 waste fees are paid on the Treasury portal (tgr.cl); debts from 2025 or earlier on the municipal portal. To request a discount bring your ID card, the property valuation certificate and your Social Household Registry statement (up to 70%).
National government in the province (formerly the Provincial Governor's office)
The Gobernación no longer exists since 2021: it was replaced by the Provincial Presidential Delegation, which serves Linares, Longaví, Parral, Retiro, Colbún, San Javier, Villa Alegre and Yerbas Buenas. The elected Regional Governor works in Talca (Gobierno Regional del Maule, 1 Norte 711).
If you live outside Linares, these Nuevosur and CGE offices serve the province (some only one day a week).

Paying bills, reporting an outage, ordering registry certificates or tracking a parcel can all be done from your phone.
For electricity, complain to the Superintendency of Electricity and Fuels (sec.cl). For water, to the Superintendency of Sanitation Services (siss.gob.cl). First file a complaint with the company and keep the reference number.
Most offices open only in the morning and close earlier on Fridays. Hours may change on public holidays.

At the Conservador de Bienes Raíces de Linares (Independencia 110) or online at cbr-linares.cl. Requests are received Monday to Friday 08:00–14:00.
No. Since July 2021 it is the Provincial Presidential Delegation of Linares, at Manuel Rodríguez 580. The Regional Governor, now elected by vote, works at the Maule Regional Government in Talca.
At the Traffic department (Dirección de Tránsito), Manuel Rodríguez 754. Appointments are booked online at transito.corporacionlinares.cl, and enquiries go to (73) 256 4657 or (73) 256 4662.
At DIDECO, Freire 452, or online at corporacionlinares.cl/subsidios (family subsidy and drinking-water subsidy). You need to be on the Social Household Registry with an address in Linares.
